The castles road :

The Castle of Chambord (6 km): The most famous of the Loire castles. Built by François the
First it was a hunting refuge. This castle has 365 chimneys. Its park is fenced by a thirty km
wall and hosts a variety of wild life animals which one can observe.
The area holds many small castles whose visit is pleasant and which are not deprived of interest:

The Castle of Beauregard (20 km)
the Castle of Talcy (20 km)

The castle of Cheverny (km): The castle which inspired Hergé for its comic strip " Tintin ". Built
by the Cheverny Count in 1634, this castle is richly furnished and decorated. Hunting has the

A little further: the castle of Chaumont sur Loire with its splendid gardens, the castle of
Amboise dominating the Loire, the castle of Chenonceau built over the Cher in a magnificient
and most romantic surroundings....

The castle of Blois (25 km): Overlooking the city this castle, with his royal staircase, is a
testimony to the art of Renaissance.

The road of the wines :

The wines of the area have names of Touraine, Cheverny and Côteaux du Vendômois. For the
white wines, one finds different type of vines like Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Chenin and for the
red wines the type of vines Gamay, Cabernets Pineau Noir and Cô.

The vine growers of the area will be proud to offer you a wine tasting while visiting their cellar.

One of the most known wine cellar is the Montmousseau Cellar which spread out over kilometers
of underground galleries dug in the tuffeau.
The road of savours :

In all the area you will find good tables which will propose local specialities to you : wild
meat, goat's milk cheeses, patés and wines.
